Monty Abramov was born in Toronto, Canada and began his jewelry career in 1992 working with his late father Raphael and his brother Jack as the principals of RJM and Techline Jewelry Corporation, Los Angeles based jewelry companies. Techline became an industry leader in utilizing the advancement of CAD technology in jewelry design.

In 2000, consumer brand Mirabelle 18k launched with "The Original Diamond Handbag Collection" of detailed and handcrafted miniature purse pendants, boldly designed with diamonds and French enamel. Boutique collections include the fine jewelry gaming line 'Players Club' and 'Flower Power'. Mirabelle 18k was distributed to through some of the finest jewelers in the United States and worldwide, and items have been featured in countless global consumer media including CNN, FOX, and ABC news. Other Mirabelle 18k projects include jewelry for Celine Dion and for Elton John exclusively for Caesars Palace.

In 2005, Mirabelle18k and Techline Jewelry merged with entities owned by Kathy Ireland and Elizabeth Taylor to form House of Taylor Jewelry, where Monty served as Design Director and Executive Vice President of the company.

A 1989 graduate of Beverly Hills High School, and a 1993 graduate of California State University Northridge, Abramov earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Monty is an avid sports fan.
